Land Registry's Digital Transformation Day

Land Registry has invited local government representatives to attend our latest Digital Transformation Day (DTD) on Monday 13 October.

This free event at our Leicester Office, the historic former site of the Pex Sock factory, aims to explore the latest digital service solutions for citizens.

To find out more about the event Melissa Croxall, Local Authority Relationship Manager and one of the organisers, outlines what delegates can expect from the day.

Who would benefit from attending?

“Our DTD is aimed at local authority managers from areas including digital, planning, legal, information management, ICT and customer service. There will also be discussions about our Local Land Charges (LLC) proposals as well as the latest digital solutions in local and central government.”

What happens at a DTD?

“At a DTD we run a number of speed sessions with Land Registry experts on topics such as e-services, data solutions and mapping. For Leicester, we have added a new dimension with an interactive discussion about issues faced by local government during their own digital journeys, and what Land Registry can do to assist.”

What has happened at previous events?

“Land Registry, alongside the Department for Communities and Local Government has run previous events in Leeds, London and Nottingham. These have allowed Land Registry to meet local authorities, share best practice and provide the latest updates on our new digital services. Delegates have commented that previous events have been very interactive, allowing for open discussion and networking with other local authorities.”

What can you tell delegates about the venue?

“Our Leicester Office was originally the Pex Sock factory built in the 1840s. Having suffered two fires, the building has been sympathetically restored and often attracts visits from local historians and architecture students as it retains many of its Victorian features – something delegates will be able to see during lunch!”
