Land Registry’s Property Alert service has been shortlisted for an award in the Innovation category of the annual Civil Service Awards.
The Innovation award recognises a team or individual who has tried something new to improve outcomes over the past twelve months.
Service Manager for Property Alert Lynne Nicholson said: “It’s exciting to have made the shortlist, knowing that there were almost 700 entries for the awards overall.”
Award winners will be announced on 19 November.
About Property Alert
Property Alert is a free property monitoring service aimed at anyone who feels their registered property could be at risk from fraud. It’s the latest counter-fraud measure that we’ve introduced to help protect people’s most valuable asset – their home.
If you sign up for Property Alert, you’ll receive email alerts when Land Registry receives an application to change the register, as well as for official searches, allowing you to take action if necessary.
Nearly 16,000 Property Alert accounts have now been created, monitoring over 25,000 properties. In May 2014 Property Alert won a Real IT award to recognise its innovation.
