• Find the Land Registry homepage:
    Use our shortcut www.gov.uk/land-registry
  • Find things most people search for:
Pick from one of the 10 links at the top of our homepage, eg Searches, fees and forms or Business e-services portal
  • Use the search box:
Searching from the Land Registry homepage means you’ll only see Land Registry pages in the search results
  • Use the organisations filter:
The search box is at the top of every page on GOV.UK. When your results are shown, you can narrow down results to just Land Registry pages by using the ‘Organisations’ filter on the left of the page.

Search for a practice guide

If you know which number guide you’re looking for, eg Practice guide 19, type the guide number ‘PG19’ into the GOV.UK search bar. For supplements, eg Practice guide 40, supplement 5 add an ‘s’ like this: ‘PG40s5’.

This works wherever you are on GOV.UK.

Search within a practice guide
Once you’re in a practice guide and you want to search for a specific reference within a guide, use ‘Ctrl+F’ keyboard shortcut (hold down the Control key and F key at the same time). If you’re using an Apple Mac, use ‘Apple/cmd+F’.

This displays a search box on the top of the page, allowing you to search for a specific term.
